Channel You Inner Kid: A Day At Hongkong Disneyland

One of the highlights--if not the highlight--of every trip to Hongkong is a visit to Hongkong Disneyland. Why? Simply because, no matter how old we get, there will always be a part of us that will long for the fun, spontaneity, and I-can-do-it-all mindset of a kid.

Heading out to Hongkong Disneyland is a very easy task. You just have to familiarize yourself with the train system of Hongkong and you'll eventually reach the theme park. Well, for starters, take the orange line to Sunny Bay station. Then, take the pink line or Disneyland Resort Line. Alight at the last stop.

English translations....Thank God!
Upon getting of the train, you'll be greeted by ticket booths, a massive crowd, and a huge welcome arc. Then you'll know that you have arrived.

the platforms..

You'll never get lost. Trust me.
Tip #2. Where the crowd goes, you go. You can never get lost.
If you haven't bought a ticket in advance, not to worry. You can buy your passes before at the amusement park entrance. However, advance purchase of tickets is recommended. Aside from getting a relatively lower price, you need not spend so much time queuing. And mind you, these lines are quite long, especially on peak seasons.

No lines...because these counters are closed. ^^,

Places like this is best visited with your gang.
The park is huge. And having a map of the park is very helpful if you want to save time figuring out where you intend to go. There are a lot of free maps available inside the park. However, if you want to be adventurous and just let your feet take you wherever, then ditch the map.

And off we start our day....

First stop. Tomorrowland. The Astro Blasters was really fun. My friends and I had a competition and the one who kills the most aliens/enemies will win. I can't remember who won. Maybe, me? Haha. The indoor roller coaster was my favorite ride. It was magical, frightening, exciting, and chilly. Chilly because it was so cold and it felt like you were outside Earth. We rode it like a million times!

into the future...
Hello Buzz!
into Buzz's world...

time for some food..Yes! It's a restaurant.
After lunch, we headed out to Adventureland to meet old man Tarzan. Here, you just have to take a boat and explore the wild. If you don't speak Chinese, make sure to fall in line for a boat with an English-speaking tour guide.

Now, into the wild.

It was a very humid day and we were looking for a drinking fountain and some shade. Then our feet brought us to the newly opened Toy Story World. It was where the nearest drinking fountain and toilets were located. So yeah. That was the main reason.

it's a souvenir shop
There's gotta be a giant horse somewhere?!
army camp!!
We still had a long day to go and so much more to explore. And pardon me. I forgot to note the names of the rides and the areas they are located in. Most I can do is to share these photos with you..

It's a small world...and it's a kiddie ride..
Sleeping Beauty's castle. There's nothing inside. Just a facade.
Welcome to the wild wild west

Jeepney??

After a long and tiring day at Disneyland, we decided to go back to the hostel and rest. It was only 6pm but our bodies are failing us already. My feet were sore from a lot of walking. My head felt dizzy from to much sun. My eyes were sleepy from too much exhaustion. Nevertheless, it was a fun-filled day. I had my fill. Now, I'm ready to take a much deserved rest.

Goodbye! and thank you!
